My photos, North Square Night and Vintage Night Drive, are on display as part of the Boston Camera Club's Past and Present exhibition in celebration of the BCC's 140th anniversary at the Wellesley Free Library, 530 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA, in the month of June 2022.
The exhibition showcases 53 photographs from 31 ‘present’ members that reference twelve ‘past’ photographs from the club’s archives or representing past and current honorary members, creating a visual dialog among photographers from different eras. The exhibition reveals both changes and continuity in how photographers depict our world and lives from the 1880s to 2022.

On Beacon Hill by Frank R. Fraprie

North Square Night (View Digital Version) responds to On Beacon Hill by Frank R. Fraprie (1874-1951). Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, Fraprie was the most influential author/publisher of American pictorial photography during the period following the Photo-Secession.
I selected Mariahilfer - Street to respond to Vintage Night Drive (View Digital Version), a 1925 photo by Alexander Niklitschek. Mariahifer is a district of Vienna, Austria.
