2013-07 | Saint Rocco Procession
The Story of Saint Rocco
Saint Rocco was born into an aristocratic French family. He turned away from his worldly inheritance and status, giving all of his possessions to the poor and the sick. Saint Rocco willingly turned to a life of poverty, charity and service to others. He traveled plague stricken Europe caring for the sick and ultimately, through the grace of God, miraculously curing those he encountered. Saint Rocco, born into power and influence, escaped death from starvation and plague by eating food brought to him by a dog.
San Nicola Baronia, a small town in Italy, adopted this Holy Man as their patron saint. Immigrants from this town established a Society dedicated to his works in Boston, Mass. in 1921. The Society of San Rocco of San Nicola Baronia annually celebrates a festival in his honor and strives throughout the year to perform charitable works.
2020 Desk Calendars
2020 Desk Calendars are in stock! This year, I made two completely different calendars. The first is exclusively Boston and the North End area. And, to mix things up, I made a second travel photography calendar featuring my best photography from around the world. Both have all new photos not included in previous calendars. Preview images from both calendars at this link.
Order online to have them shipped directly to you. Click here to order online.
FYI, online shipping can be $6-$8 per order (sorry, that's out of my control so I lowered the calendar cost to $15 this year). The shipping cost is per order so you can get several calendars at the same shipping cost. A great reason to order multiple calendars!
If you're local in Boston, save on shipping and contact me at email@example.com to arrange pickup.
