2015-09 | Battle of the Barge Fireworks

Bringing back dueling fireworks, the Boston Harbor Association and several private sponsors, hosted a classic “Battle of the Barges” spectacular not seen in Boston since the year 2000. Fireworks barges anchored off the North End and Seaport illuminated the sky with synchronized volleys of lights and fury, all set to music broadcast live on MAGIC 106.7 and televised on New England Cable News (NECN).

The non-profit TBHA organized the Illuminate Boston spectacular as the grand finale for its Summer on the Waterfront series, highlighting Boston’s waterfront neighborhoods. Large crowds gathered at all points around the inner harbor including Christopher Columbus Park, Fan Pier and Piers Park.
