2018 Top 20 Photos
This year had some of the best and worst moments for me. The photography highlight was an epic trip to Iceland in March, a great time to go without the tourist hordes and to experience the Northern Lights. I also added to my ongoing projects including the Italian feasts in Boston's North End and documenting local sea level rise during the flooding of last winter's storms. On the downside, I lost too many family members and friends this year, including my dear mother, Frances. I took a break to reflect and to appreciate how our time is so limited in this world. Looking ahead, I am optimistic on 2019 as my imminent retirement will give me the opportunity to cherish the wonderful people in my life as well as pursue my passion for photography and travel adventures. Enjoy the photos and best wishes for a Happy New Year!
