Great Molasses Flood - 100th Anniversary
Honoring the 100th anniversary of Boston’s Great Molasses Flood, Bostonians came out on a chilly morning to form a human circle on the former location of a 90 foot wide molasses tank, located at what is now Langone Park on Commercial Street in Boston’s North End. Twenty one people were killed and another 150 injured when the faulty tank ruptured and exploded on January 15, 1919.
