Jerusalem Views
In Jerusalem, but outside the Old City, we climbed Mount of Olives where Jesus viewed the city. This view also overlooks the most densely populated Jewish cemetery, the gold Dome of the Rock, a Muslim shrine, and an incredible panorama from desert to Gehinnom to the Temple Mount to Mount Scopus.
We visited several Christian sites in Jerusalem, including Place of the Ascension, the Pastor Noser Church (where Jesus taught his disciples the Lord's Prayer), the church of Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over the City of Jerusalem and foretold its destruction, the Garden of the Gethsemane (the scene of Jesus' agony and arrest), the Church of All Nations with the rock where Jesus is believed to have prayed and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, built over a dungeon where Jesus was imprisoned before his trial and where Peter denied knowing him twice.
We also visited King David's Tomb and the Jerusalem Diamond Center.
